Privacy Policy
The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms, plus device and approximate location info when you submit.
- We use it to prepare your free audit, set up calls, and follow up with you.
- This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics tools or advertising pixels.
- We contact you by email or phone about what you asked for. We don’t send marketing text messages.
- You can ask us to show, fix or delete your info, or stop marketing, any time.
Who we are
This website, monkeymanmedia.net, is run by Monkey Man Media LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“Monkey Man Media,” “we,” “us”). We make short-form video content for dealerships and other businesses. We’re based in Tampa, Florida.
Contact: info@monkeymanmedia.net
Mailing address: 1646 W Snow Avenue #10, Tampa, FL 33606
Person responsible for privacy: our CEO, who you can reach at info@monkeymanmedia.net
This policy covers this website and its forms. It doesn’t cover the social media accounts we manage for clients, or services we provide under a signed contract. Those are covered by the contract.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Free content audit: your social media handle and the platforms you want audited. We save these as soon as you tap the arrow, even if you close the next step.
- Audit details and call requests: first and last name, business name, phone number, email, and for call requests, how many locations you have.
- Privacy requests: your name, email, optional phone number, state or province, and whatever details you add.
Information collected when you submit a form
We only collect this when you submit a form, not when you just browse:
- Your IP address and the approximate location it points to (city, region, country, sometimes postal code) and your internet provider. To get this, your browser asks an IP lookup service (GeoJS, or ipapi.co as a backup). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we skip this lookup.
- Device type, operating system, browser, language, screen size and time zone.
- The page you were on, the site that sent you (if your browser shares it), and any campaign tags in the link you used (like utm_source).
- Whether your browser sent a Global Privacy Control signal, the version of this policy you were shown, and a random ID that connects your audit request to your contact details.
Information from public sources
If you ask for an audit, we look at the public profile and posts for the handle you gave us. That’s what the audit is.
Information our host collects
Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes standard technical data (like IP address, browser and the pages requested) to deliver and protect the site. We don’t use Netlify features that set cookies or track visitors, such as analytics add-ons, split testing or password protection.
What we don’t collect
This website doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t use analytics tools, advertising pixels, session recording, or fingerprinting scripts. We don’t ask for payment information, government ID numbers, or sensitive personal information like health or financial account details. Please don’t put sensitive information in the free-text boxes.
How we use it
- To prepare your free content audit and send it to you.
- To contact you about your audit or to schedule the call you asked for, by email or phone.
- To follow up by email or phone about our services. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To understand which of our marketing brought you to us (using campaign tags and the referring site).
- To know what market you’re in (from approximate location) and to spot spam and abuse.
- To handle privacy requests and keep records of them.
- To follow the law and protect our rights.
We don’t put your information, or the public posts we review for your audit, into AI tools. Our team prepares audits.
We don’t use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with these service providers, who handle it for us:
| Provider | What they do for us | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Google Workspace: Sheets, Apps Script, Gmail) | Receives form submissions, stores them in our private lead sheet, and sends us an email alert for new leads and privacy requests | Everything you submit, plus the device and approximate location info above |
| Netlify | Hosts and delivers this website | Standard technical data from every visit |
| GeoJS (get.geojs.io), and ipapi.co as a backup | Turns your IP address into an approximate location when you submit a form | Your IP address and the fact that your browser made the request |
People on our team see lead information when they need it to do their jobs. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, we do not give it to other companies for their own use, and we do not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising.
Calls and emails
Submitting a form asks us to contact you about that request, so we may call or email you about it. Our calls are made by people, not autodialers or prerecorded messages, and we don’t send marketing text messages. If you want us to stop contacting you, tell us on the call, reply to any email, or use our privacy request form. Any marketing email from us will include a way to unsubscribe and our mailing address.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Audit requests where you didn’t give contact details | 12 months after your last submission |
| Audit leads and call requests | 24 months after your last submission, unless you become a client, then as your contract requires |
| Privacy requests | 24 months after we close the request |
| Hosting logs and Google system data | As set by Netlify and Google |
When the period ends, we delete the record from our lead sheet. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy,
- correct information that’s wrong,
- delete your information,
- stop marketing calls or emails.
Use our privacy request form or email info@monkeymanmedia.net. We’ll confirm we got your request within 10 business days and answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we’ll tell you why. To protect you, we’ll check that the request comes from you, usually by matching the email or phone number we have on file. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that they’re allowed to act for you. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights. If we say no, you can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal” and we’ll respond within 45 days.
Some states give residents specific privacy rights by law. We honor the requests above for everyone, whether or not a particular law applies to us.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your information. Since we don’t sell or share information for targeted advertising, it also tells our site to skip the third-party IP location lookup, and we note the signal with your submission.
Visitors in Canada
We work with businesses in Canada and may hear from people there. Your information is stored and processed in the United States by the providers listed above, and may be accessible to U.S. authorities under U.S. law. You can ask to access or correct your information, or withdraw consent to marketing, using the options above. The person in charge of personal information is our CEO, at info@monkeymanmedia.net.
Children
This website is for business owners and managers. It isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Security
The site uses HTTPS. Form submissions go straight to a private Google Sheet that only our team can open, and our endpoint rejects oversized, malformed and automated submissions. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. Each form submission records the version you were shown.
